High-end flow cytometer with high-speed cell sorting option

The instrument has 4 lasers and is configured for 11 colors plus forward and side scatter.
The machine is equipped with a temperature control system, and has the option to sort up to 4 different populations in parallel into tubes or microplates.

Combined inverted epifluorescence optical microscope (Zeiss AxioObserver M27) and atomic force microscope

This AFM/optical microscope provides nm-resolution imaging of soft biological samples in physiological conditions (e.g. living cells). The new QI mode allows also fast measurement of intermolecular forces and physical properties of the sample (e.g. stiffness). The CellHesion module is included in the system to monitor also cell-substrate and cell-cell adhesion. Samples can be maintained at the desired temperature (between ca. 18C and 40C). The optical microscope is equipped with a sensitive Andor Clara high-resolution CCD camera.
